The leaves of change
color our lands.
Tendrils of sweet breath
to thick air do stand.
Jars of Winter
hold to Springs fruitful bounty.
Freezers now filled
with warmth's reminder, proudly.
Herds become playful;
energy shaking the earth.
Hooves claim their ground;
egos challenge for worth.
Smells of memory,
the outpouring of home.
The gifts of the fallen,
a needy hearth’s overflow.
As we all embrace time
a much-needed rest,
may the season to your farms
pass with all that is blessed.
